In the movie The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Seth Rogen’s character shares an anecdote about him having sex with a girl and in the middle of the act her dog licks his..umm…butt.  So you think that this is too bizarre to be true?  You are dead wrong, my friend.

A close friend of mine has a very sweet yellow lab.  This yellow lab gets very excited when people wrestle or rough-house in his presence and he wants to join in on the fun.  This never bothered her until she was having sex on her couch and her dog decided to lick her brown eye.  True story.

Sometimes we get so caught up in the moment that we forget about our pets and how our boinking must look and sound to them.  The act can sometimes look violent or disturbing to our furry companions.  This can result in some funny stories to share with friends or it can ruin the mood before the act is even finished…even if someone is prematurely happy.

I once dated a guy who had a smaller breed of dog and every time we would have sex, the dog would run around in circles and bark frantically.  It was very annoying.  I, myself, have always had cats.  While most of my cats have usually ignored my sexual activities outside of the bedroom, I had one who thought that “human-sex-time” equaled “kitty-cuddle-time” and he would cuddle up on the chest of the person on the bottom of the sex fun.  He took great offense when we would shoo him away.

I used to let my current cat sleep on my bed.  When I would be having sex in my bed, she would jump to the floor and stare up at me in a stoic manner and wait for the bed to stop shaking so she could go back to sleep.  It was weird sometimes to be really into the moment and look down to see my cat looking at me like, “Come ON already!”  Pets are now forbidden in my bedroom.  I needed a little more peace so that I could enjoy the handcuffs and the ceiling-mounted mirrors.
