Site Review: African-American Singles

african-americansingles This is your typical niche site. It’s small and it doesn’t have a lot of users. If this turns out to be a crappy site, it would have to be for reasons other than the fact that it is a niche site. Niche sites can be wonderful places.

The front page sets the tone for the entire site. Simple and understated. There’s nothing super-fancy about this site. Again, this is not a bad thing. You don’t necessarily need a flowery and ornate front page for the site to be a great place.

Signing up for the site is typical. It’s quick, but you can choose to write little snippets to enhance your profile that better describe you, your interests, and what you are looking for on the site. After completing a profile, you can do a member search. With an age group specification of 22-45 within 250 miles of me, my search only turned out two members. Because I live in a fairly populated area, this leads me to believe that this site has a lot of room to grow.

Even though there’s nothing great about this site and there aren’t many members, this is not a 100% free site. The only added advantage you get by paying for a subscription is the ability to send mail through the site. I have two words for you: RIP OFF. However, if you should choose to ignore my advice, pricing breaks down as follows:

-One Month is $19.91

-Three Months are $44.95

-Six Months are $69.95

-One Year is $99.95

These prices are very high, especially considering the limited features this site offers. If you’re going to use this site, stick with the free membership. It’s not worth your hard-earned money.

This site has the potential to be a place that houses a rich community for African American singles. However, it would be the members themselves making it rich and interesting rather than the site itself. There are other options out there, my datesters. I suggest you try them before settling on this site.
